Goa Lawah, The Bats Cave Temple

Bats Cave Temple ” Goa Lawah Temple ”  the temple located in Pesinggahan Village, Klungkung regency. The temple built in 11th century by priest ” Mpu Kuturan ” or ” Mpu Rajakerta ” this priest who created 4 concepts of temple in Bali. This is one important temple located near the ocean  specially use for ” Nyegara Gunung ” ceremony ( Segara it’s mean Ocean and Gunung it’s mean Mountain ). The Balinese people use this Goa Lawah Temple for the ocean temple and Besakih Temple for the mountain temple. The cave in the cliff fully with thousand of the bats.


Tenganan Village is one of the oldest Balinese Traditional Village located in Karangasem Regency, east part of Bali. This village is much referred by cultural literature science of Tenganan Pegringsingan, which is very famous in the island. It own very unique local community life pattern which is one example of Bali Aga Village cultures (Hindu Prehistoric) and different with other countryside in plain of Bali. Nowadays, this village has been appointed as a place for tourist destination which can present the attractive and unique matters which able to add the variation of object and fascination for tourist to come.


Candidasa is the most popular beach resort along Bali’s east coast. It’s where you can enjoy a quiet seaside escape, far from the crowds and busier traffic scenes of the island’s south. The main road of Jalan Raya Candidasa runs parallel the shoreline, lined with varying accommodation from basic hotels to five-star resorts. There’s a host of good shops, bars and restaurants in between. The beach itself features a sequence of sandy shores and breakwaters.

Asak Village

Asak is a Bali Aga village – a sort of second cousin to the better known village of Tenganan near Candidasa. The roots of Asak are deep and while things may change on the surface, underneath the smooth flowing surface nothing much has changed for centuries.

Tirta Gangga

The water palace built in 1948 by the raja of karangasem, anak agung anglurah ketut karangasem. tirta gangga water palace is a maze of pools and fountains surrounded by a lush garden and stone carvings and statues. the one hectare complex was built in 1946 by the late king of karangsem but was destroyed almost entirely by the eruption of nearby mount agung in 1963. it has been lovingly re-built and restored and has an air of authentic royal magnificence. the centrepiece of the palace is an eleven tiered fountain and there are many beautiful carvings and statues adorning the gardens.
